Scubatony - 77600 San Miguel de Cozumel

Scubatony is a first class operation! I hadn’t dove for three years and was solo so I was a bit nervous - spent two months diving with this outfit in February and March of 2022. Every dive master was top notch and took exceptional care of me. I became a much better diver! The boat captains and the schedulers were also fantastic. There were nice touches like jackets on the boat for guests and your own personal water bottle each dive day. Also, a solar shower was on the boats. Another great benefit is going a half hour earlier than the rest of the dive boats. I did mostly morning dives and never saw another group of divers underwater. ScubaTony is an awesome full service safe dive company!

My wife and I had a really great time with ScubaTony team! We had our 3 half-days SSI open water certificate course with instructor - Cris. She was very clear with the instructions, patient and encouraging to make sure we are learning and having fun. Each day we feel more comfortable with diving and learning different skills. After the course, we just did another 2-tank dive with dive master Miguel and Captain Alex, it was amazing to see Turtles, sharks, Eel and lots of fishes and coral reefs, feeling lucky . Today we realized how beautiful the Cozumel diving could be and much more enjoyed when you get more comfortable with underwater. It comes with practice. Thanks again to the ScubaTony team. Small group up to 6 persons and good quality equipment conditions. We highly recommend to anyone who wanna explore scuba diving!

My brother and I are very newbie scuba divers, I hadn't been in years and I made sure to go through a refresher course and read through a PADI book/watch all the Scuba youtube videos before flying to Cozumel. Diving in Cozumel was awesome, water clarity was ridiculous and Scubatony was a first class operation. My brother and I flew from Denver, Colorado and stayed at the Casa del Mar hotel from July 28th‐Aug 4th 2021 and had no issues, hotel was very reasonably priced and we'd stay there again. Right in front of our hotel there was a dive operation called Cozumel Marine World and we did a bunch of shore dives with them which was super cheap. Their equipment though didn't compare to Scubatony. Cozumel Marine World's gear was old and dated, I had to wear an old school weight belt and the O ring on the cylinder they gave me was bad and leaking air, had to switch it out...always remember to do those safety checks especially in Mexico. Glad I only did shore dives with their equipment since we only went down to max of 30ft. For boat dives where you are going to rent a BCD/Regulator and trusting your life to the equipment I'd only go with Scubatony. Scubatony had very well maintained Aqualung gear with integrated BCD weights like every dive operation should have. For anyone going to Cozumel to dive just a few tips, always bring your own mask/fins/snorkel/wetsuit/quick spit mask defogger at a minimum. We brought everything except fins and that was a mistake, it's just a pain to constantly rent those from places if you'll be diving from the shore like we did. If you'll be diving from the shore and other locations around the island, it's worth it to just buy your own dive computer like I did as well and make sure to know how to work it before you make the trip. I bought the new Aqualung i330r color screen dive computer for $359 off Amazon before my trip and it worked perfectly. I wish I would have bought the new Shearwater Peregrine though for slightly more money. Only other items I wish I would have brought to Cozumel for diving was a deployable surface marker buoy (DSMB) and an underwater compass. You don't really need these if you are just going with Scubatony but for shore diving you really do need to have them and know how to use them. Boat traffic is pretty heavy in Cozumel and you don't want to pop your head up on the surface without a buoy that boaters can see. We'll be going back to Cozumel eventually and for boat diving I definitely trust Scubatony especially if you're renting equipment as their gear is top notch. Miguel was our divemaster for both days of diving and he was fantastic as well. Miguel was super efficient on his air, he probably can stay down a hour per cylinder whereas my brother and I were maybe getting 35-40 mins before having to surface, we definitely have some work to do lol. So I give Scubatony 5 out of 5 stars, their email communication for booking and answering questions was great. The actual dive operation and dive masters were amazing. This is the place to book for Cozumel diving.

It was such an amazing day! I had two dives with them, Alex, our captain, was taking such good care of us with fresh water, soft drinks, fresh fruits and snacks and helping us with the equipment. Carmelo was our dive master and he's just the best. Always looked after us, showed us so much wildlife, he's such a lovely person. He made those dives unforgettable!!! And the same goes for the second dive master Martin. Everybody was so sweet and nice, I loved it! Will come back for sure!!

Had my first ever dive at ScubaTony’s yesterday and our family can’t stop talking about it! Cris and Hector were amazing! Cris made it so easy and comfortable I was able to enjoy the dive without worrying. Saw barracuda, blow fish, eel, sting ray, lobster and a ton of Aquatic colorful fish and beautiful reef.

This Scuba Company in Cozumel, Mexico is amazing! Very professional, very fun. They have everything arranged for you including equipment on the boat. They are open to listening about what your goals are with diving/what you want to see and they do their best to make it happen. Awesome dive sites and the night dive was incredible. Great refreshments between dives. I still use the water bottle they gave me now when I go to the gym! They have competitive prices that you cannot complain about! Would recommend to any family, friends, and even strangers!

Had a great time with ScubaTony. We dove with them in 2019. Our first ocean dives. Came back this year for 5 days of diving. Already planning next year's dive. Worried a little about different dive masters each day. Unfounded worries, all the dive masters and boat captains are top notch. Thanks Scuba Tony for a great dive trip. See you next year.

We dived in two different days with two different dive masters. Carmelo and Moi were extremely polite and professional. The boat captains were doing a great job as well. We got a lot of attention, both above and under the water. The boys made sure that we are safe, everything is as planned and we are having the best possible experience.
