We highly highly recommend this resort. We decided to have our wedding here, and wow, they did not disappoint. Overall, the staff was extremely nice, helpful, and professional. All of our wedding guests who stayed at the resort loved it. They were extremely happy with the service, the food, and the drinks. If you plan on having your wedding here, I would highly recommend it. It was affordable, and the entire staff worked so hard to make sure our special day went off with our a hitch. They made us feel like hotel celebrities. The wedding coordinator, Aleli Contino, was the nicest, most helpful person. We truly could not have done it without her hard work and diligence. Her assistant, Veronica, who helped with finalizing wedding details and the budget, and Albert, who assisted Aleli on the day of the wedding, were also extremely helpful and professional. We had an after party and the DJ Pepe Hernandez and the bartender Carlos Reza were gems that kept the party going. Then, we had a 2nd after party where Heremes Ramirez (bartender) and Floselo Hernandez (chef) made sure our guests had alcohol and food well into the night.

Resort was beautiful, people were sweet and helpful. My only complaint is the food. Buffet was good. Brazilian steakhouse was very bad, poor quality meats, no flavor, and no side item options.

I’ve been to many high end hotels such that of the Ritz and St Regis, but the service here cannot be beaten. The staff are absolutely amazing, the resort has great food and lots of options, the amenities are amazing. I also had a problem and Lizabeth and Belen took care of my issue with full satisfaction!

Great customer service. Very friendly staff. We spent 9 nights at the resort and enjoyed every minute. Food choices were excellent and the bar staff was always circulating around the pool and beach areas. Can't wait to go back!

Room...ceiling over bed leaked, balcony door leaked badly, phone had to be fixed, safe battery was dead, out of toilet paper every day, Hot tub jets broke, drains on the balcony clogged, and roaches. Beach...ALWAYS OUT OF BEACH TOWELS, not nearly enough beach chairs, broken beach chairs, waiter not around enough, and coconuts falling. Buffet...dining hall very hot, service was terrible, stopping before I go to far with this one. Coconut ice cream was awesome! People very friendly and the pavilion was great all day. Bugs are horrible!

I’ve been here twice already! This is a great resort in Mexico, probably the best around too. Food is good, cocktails are good. Only removed one star because the quality of the drinks in the bar where the live shows happen at night, the drinks there went downhill during my stay. The quality of the drinks there goes on and off. My mohito tasted funny at this bar yesterday. And today I ordered just plain water while listening to a metal/rock band perform. And even the water tasted weird! The water tasted of chlorine, and like tap water. And I know in Mexico it isn’t safe to drink tap water at all when you aren’t originally from here. So I’m praying that this bars water isn’t tap!!! Cause that isn’t great for health here. And it’s a 5 star resort, so I was hoping it would be plain bottled and filtered out water. All other bars make very good drinks though, except the live music bar by the buffet area. The live music bar is always a hit or miss. Sometimes their drinks are yummy, sometimes they taste funny that I don’t even want to drink it! Otherwise I love this resort. Stayed at a penthouse this time. ☺️

It is a great resort that is very clean and quiet. There are very nice waiters. Especially Ruben, who is very talkative, friendly and helpful. He always does his best to make the guests feel as comfortable as possible. As of now, we have a new friend in Mexico.

Akumal Bay is an amazing place located between Cancun and Tulum. It lays directly at a beautiful beach and bay where turtles eat their food and you can easily access this via the beach. For food you can make a choice out of 4 a la cart restaurants (with wine paring) and one buffer option, this doesn’t give the “all inclusive” vibe and we appreciated this very much. The staff is amazing, is you ask for something they directly do everything to make it work. We highly recommend to stay at the beautiful place, to enjoy and to see a part of Mexico’s finest.
