★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Def worth a visit. You can go there yourself via the beach. Check out the moon before tho. And bring mosquito spray

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not accessible if you follow the maps route, apparently a big fence has been built to seal off the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was not like the picture you see online , so you will not be able to see much , it’s an amazing experience for your own eyes , but not to take pictures with you home
Advice ( Mosquito repellent is really essential )

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't take the tour, better rent a bike, as you might see nothing more than a couple of sparks when you shake the water. Take a light with you. For us the ride was the emotion as you have to cross parts of water on the street. Better take the north street, parallel to the beach. Tours usually offer much more than you will really see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nature is just astonishing. We visited in late December and you could observe the bioluminescence phenomenon. Despite kinda light but if you haven’t seen before absolutely great. What might be even better at that time: the sky with all the stars ? expert tip: do not try to take pictures, that won’t work ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every night there is a different time to visit so you can see the bioluminescencia the best. You can walk here yourself, personally I do not think you need a tour. You can watch a beautiful sky full of stars and see the bioluminisence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience, but you need to come there when it’s really dark. We went to Punta Coco to catch the sunset and from there, took a walk to see the bioluminescence, but it wasn’t visible at least until 9:30 pm.
We came back around 1:30 am and then… the magic happened :) Don’t waste the money to take the tour, it’s really easily accessible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is better to go during warm months (summer) and when there is no light (new moon) or cloudy days. My first time I tried and it was disappointing, however, I decide to give a second chance, an did it in may again under new moon conditions. And it was the most magical experience. It’s like stars dripping from your hands, you can see the fishes moving in the water.
