M	Melissa MacGregor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ STAY AWAY!! I was racially profiled by the female bartender here for being Indian (my husband is Caucasian). I was yelled at (apparently because of my race it appears I can’t speak English/Spanish) and received horrible service. Plus the cocktails tasted like a rotten piece of firewood.

The lady working was rude because we spoke English and refused to give us the 2 for 1 deal for ladies night or happy hour pricing even though we confirmed it was the correct day and time. Better bars with just as good cocktails elsewhere.

The bartender refused to honour the posted prices even though everyone else was receiving the 2 for 1 deal. We were very disappointed and felt taken advantage of, even tried to show her the sign outside and she refused to give us the correct price. Every time I turned around in my bar stool the bartender was glaring at me and I felt very uncomfortable as she was interacting nicely with other guests. There are more delicious cocktails with better vibes in all of the rest of Sayulita.

Today I walked in and the woman bartender was extremely rude, said she saw me check the happy hour prices but they couldn’t honor it because they were editing prices. Seems to be a common theme for people she deems “tourists”.

She acted like she was doing us a big favor by deigning to serve us. A small group came in after us and she came right over and brought them menus. So it did seem kind of personal. But we came back a different night and there were 2 different people working, a man and a woman. We sat at the bar and they were both super friendly, and seemed happy to answer questions and engage in conversation, in spite of each of us having some limitations with the other’s languages. We mainly came for the Pulque, but next time I visit I’d like to try some of their spirits.

The bartender was cutting up fruit/ingredients to mix or blend and made everybody’s drinks one by one. If you want a drink that some bartender throws together in 30 seconds go somewhere else. I got the Poblano Escobar because the name is too good to pass up and it was delicious.
