The people that work here are incredibly attentive and helpful. You can buy lobster from the local fishermen and they will cook it for you as you like. Be aware there is no cell network in Punta Allen or it's surroundings. Take cash with you as this is one of the only places that will take a card.

We were aware of the seaweed ahead of time and do not mind it as we wanted to enjoy Punta Allen just as it is. We loved the peace and quiet, huge tent and very attentive staff. We spent afternoons napping in the hammocks and then kayaking with turtles. The food was excellent, the showers and bathrooms very clean. The beds were comfortable and the beach was clean and the small pool a great place to cool off. The adventure to Punta Allen is well worth it once you find paradise. We will for sure be coming back!

A	A Sadowsky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes, to get here from Tulum You need be patient and have some 4x4 skills. Yes road takes 3-4 hours (40km) but is totally worth it. Near is fisherman village with some shops, but if You want spend here some days relaxing not driving around is better to do some groceries before coming here. Water in taps is salty but what You expected in such remote outpost;) Take some cash with You there is no ATM and electronics payment.

The only reason it is not a 5 star review is that getting to the hotel is VERY difficult and there is hardly any information or assistance on the website helping you arrive. There are several options to arrive - boat being the best option- but they need to help their guests by putting detailed information on how to get one that isn’t outrageously expensive. I do not recommend driving. We almost had to lose our reservation as our car couldn’t make the drive and we couldn’t find an affordable boat to take us until the last minute. And no one from the hotel’s main office responded to our emails or answered our calls. The transportation to arrive/return was almost as expensive as the cost of our lodging….
R	Ram Zda on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is nice, wifi working +/-, but the only bad think is a road to reach this place. We drive more than 3 hour on VERY BAD road 50 km. If you consider to stay only for 1-2 nights - it doesn’t worth. When looking on Google maps you expect a road with sea view. But it’s not. Beaches are dirty and a lot of rubbish
J	Jim Poulsen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel Cielo y Selva is a super nicely run campground/Hotel/Glamping. It's the perfect place if you really want to relax and be one with the sea. The whole hotel is right on the beach, the road to get here is very rough, so a jeep 4x4 car of some sort or a off-road motorbike is the best way of transportation. The restaurant in Cielo y Selva is fenomenal they mix traditional Mayan food with normal known food and it's absolutely gorgeous. Enjoyed my stay here very much all though it was just for 1 night.
