Mexico Highlights - Playa del Carmen

We had a fantastic experience with Miguel as our driver who took us from Playa del Carmen to Chichen Itza. We had originally booked a tour but then didn't fancy the extremely long day and being stuck with a large group and tour guide. We arranged for a private taxi at our hotel reception but got way more than we expected. Miguel arrived promptly at the time arranged and was stocked with cold refreshments for the whole day. The long drive was made pleasant by Miguel who kept conservation flowing, toilet stops, music requests and checking if the AC was OK for us. When we arrived he helped us find the toilets and sort tickets. After our time at Chichen Itza Miguel took us to an amazing cenote, where he kindly helped us around and took some photographs for us. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend this service whilst you are in Mexico. Lauren and Stephen.

We were not going to use a tour to visit any of the great places around Tulume, but my husband surprised me by booking this great tour guide, Julio, who was so knowledgeable, passionate, and fun to be with, that we were so pleased in the end. I highly recommend this company, and especially our guide Julio. 5 stars!

We had a fantastic day trip to Chichen-Itza and Cenote Ik-Kil with Julio from Mexico Highlights. Prior to the trip we debated whether to hire a guide or go by ourselves, and my husband and I both agreed we were grateful we chose to hire Julio. He was extremely knowledgeable, flexible and kind. He paid great attention to our preferences and struck an excellent balance between guiding us and letting us move at our pace. He made a special day even more special, and we can’t recommend him and Mexico Highlights enough.

Booked a private tour with Julio. He went well above and beyond our expectations(went to 3 different places looking for somewhere we could get our covid test). Super nice guy and took a lot of pictures of the trip along the way that he sent later. We saw the pink lakes, nature preserve, a cenote, and went to a lunch spot for some traditional Yucatan food. All of it was very cool. Swimming in the cenote was quite a great experience. I highly recommend booking with Julio.

We had the best ride experience with Julio! Upon our delayed arrival to Cancun, Julio waited hours for us and greeted us with such kindness. We were so appreciative that he waited for us all that time to take us to Playa del Carmen! He gave great recommendations as well :) Julio was prompt in picking us up and very communicative with us about pick-up times. He greatly contributed to our amazing experience/trip to Mexico! I cannot say enough nice words about Julio! He was not only a driver but also a guide as well as a great company! We had the best time visiting the pyramids, and he suggested an amazing place for lunch and helped out with the kids and told us all he knew about all the places we visited. We had the best day because of him. Highly recommend!!!!

The entire tour was a great experience. We had a great time with our driver, Julio. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole time. We couldn't bear the thought of riding a large bus with 50-60 other people for 6 hours (roundtrip) so we decided we wanted a private tour. We left early in the morning (7am) so we could beat the crowds and heat. We had a wonderful time at Chichen Itza, the cenote (with an amazing lunch) and the small town of Valladolid. Julio was an amazing driver and tour guide the whole way. It was a long day but we were back in our room at the Barcelo Maya Riviera by 5pm. During the drive Julio was great to talk with and had a great sense of humor. Chichen Itza is a must see and I highly recommend Mexico Highlights company for the tour. The private tour is a little expensive but we felt was totally worth the extra money. The van was very comfortable and Julio had refreshments to keep us going. Thanks Julio!!!

Julius was the best private guide we have ever had! He made our day the best we had during our trip! Every little detail of our needs and wants was thought of and taken care of through the entire day from 8:30-6:30. He was incredibly educated on the Mayan history and the area which made it really enjoyable for us and was also just so much fun and easy to be with. Chichen Itza was of course amazing but then we were blown away again by the incredible Ik Kil Cenote for a refreshing dip. Then we were off to a wonderful lunch at a romantic Mexican restaurant with a lovely open air courtyard in the centre and a nice stroll through Valladolid to see some shops, the church and the central plaza before our nice private ride home. If you ever you looking for a tour to see Chichen Itza, 1000 percent book a private tour with Mexico Highlights and we recommend you as for Julius if you can be fortunate enough to get him. The private tours help you avoid all the massive crowds, the long long rides to everyone else's resorts for pick up and drop off before and after the long drive out there and much more comfortable and fun experience with cold waters, beers and pops when needed ?.
