Aqua Viva Tulum is the Best Paradise Sanctuary in the centre of Tulum! Everyday I woke up in the manicured gardens to practice Free Yoga by a glittering pool among the palm trees. Humo is an excellent restaurant connected to Aqua Viva where I ate amazing health food. The bamboo architecture is fundamentally Tulum and the natural cabins at Aqua Viva are a beautiful mix of modern and natural designs. Imagine a palapa with AC and a tranquil garden in the sun all to yourself!! The location allows one to travel so simply to any of the beaches of Tulum without paying the price to stay on the beach. Aqua Viva is accessible to any of the famous ruins and also accesible to direct travel to Cancun (as the bus is only a kilometre away.) The owners and employees of Aqua Viva were so kind and attentive making every effort to facilitate an amazing experience in Tulum, Riviera Maya. Thank you Aqua Viva for the amazing accommodations!!

Viva Tulum was a great Air B&B experience. Before we get to all of the great stuff, here is what can improve: Towels- The property management company alloted one bath towel, and one beach towel per person. This would be just fine for a short stay, but for a week + stay wasn't enough. To get fresh towels, or extra towels, would have been at an additional cost. We needed kitchen towels to dry our dishes too. They were able to give us one small one after a couple of days. The washer/dryer- Is one reason that new towels weren't included. They wanted us to wash our own towels, but the apartment had two washer/dryer combos that would only accommodate 3 towels. 4 towels + 1 bath mat + 1 hand towel flooded the machine due to too much weight. The dryer function did not work. It took three hours for the dryer cycle to complete, and we had to hang dry everything afterwards since it was all still damp. We did multiple loads of laundry, and none of our group could get the dryer to completely dry our things. This was honestly a very minor inconvenience though. Doors- Are all slatted. Privacy didn't really exist. Sound transferred through the entire apartment, and we needed to throw a towel over the door so no one could see through it. This did not matter much to me, but it bothered a few couples in our group. Pillows/cushions on the roof top- during the Rainy season the pillows, cushions, and hammock are all very moldy. I don't think there is really much that can be done about this during the Rainy season, and honestly not that big of a deal. Everything else was wonderful. We felt safe here, and felt that our belongings were safe. We thought the markets and eateries were charming around the place. Laura with MOSKITO (the property management company) was fantastic. She went above and beyond to answer so many of our questions, and really make our vacation a memorable one. She was honestly the best. The location of Aldea Zama is about halfway between town and the beach. Getting a taxi was not an issue, and you can use Libby's bike delivery rental services- Aldea Zama Bike Rentals to get a bike to ride to either town or the beach. It is really important that you understand where Aldea Zama is located because walking to town or the beach is a bit far, and should not be done at night. This was not an issue for us, but taxi costs did add up. The apartment and private rooftop pool overall was amazing, and I recommend you stay here. We had a blast. And Viva Tulum was an awesome "home base" to be able experience Tulum.

The airbnb was beautiful! Private rooftop pool was nice. 4 ? and not 5 because there's always room for improvement. The area is still being built up so it's not currently surrounded by an oasis but has nice little shops around it. The rooftop needs to be pressure washed but with the storms it's kind of not worth doing. Also, it would be better having more was cloths. But the place was big, clean and beautiful. We got to cook twice and they have Netflix to watch. This place is not walking distance from the beach but you can ride a bike or rent a scooter. I would definitely recommend this place. It slept 8 females comfortably and had 1 bathroom for every 2 ladies!
