Casa Latina - 77710 Playa del Carmen

In 2012 we bought a condo full of furniture from casa Latina and were pleased with the entire transaction. But several years later the upholstered pieces began to fall apart. The first repair was handled quickly and efficiently with no problems, but when the second piece deteriorated casa Latina ordered the wrong color leather and then said it was our fault. They had us purchase the replacement fabric, giving us an incorrect yardage amount, which required us to make two trips to the store. Yes, their prices are reasonable but if the furniture doesn’t last is it really a bargain? The furniture was used only twice a year, in an air conditioned environment. We liked the store at first but will not buy from them again because of the inferior product and the lack of customer service after the sale.

Very nice furnishings here. We picked out some home decor items. They wrapped them very well. Many more choices upstairs.

The prospect of buying furniture in Playa del Carmen from 3,700 miles away in Seattle was scary to say the least. We've all had the experience of buying something online only to discover that the quality is poor once the item has arrived. And most Americans have been told that doing business in Mexico is risky. But working with Alex at Casa Latina to by furniture for our new vacation get-a-way was an amazing experience. In fact, I felt like I was working with an old friend. No, that is not a good enough description. It felt like my older brother owned a furniture store and wanted me to get the highest quality furniture for the best price. Yes, that is a more accurate description. Alex understood my anxiety and helped to ease my mind. We had several WhatsApp calls so he could understand just what I wanted. His team took meausrements at my condo; he found for me furniture that was just the right fit; and anything that he didn't have in stock he had made and stained in just the right colors and fabrics. And Alex has a great sense of humor too. :) He setup a secure online downpayment transaction. I flew down a few weeks later and he greeted me at the store like I was a member of the family. The showroom exceeded my expectations. I ended up buying even more items. In the end, I bought all the furniture I needed from Casa Latina. Dining table, dining chairs, sofa sleeper, tv stand, bed, night stands, mirrors, decorative pots, outdoor furniture, decor items, EVERYTHING. He scheduled delivery at time that worked well for me or those I had meeting the delivery truck in Mexico. His delivery men were so sweet and careful with everything. Thank you, Alex. This is the best furniture buying experience we have ever had. We completely refurnished our condo and everything is absolutely perfect. Top notch customer service from start to end. We will not go anywhere else.

If I could give Casa Latina 10 stars I would, but this review only allows for five. My husband and I purchased a condo in Playa Del Carmen that was unfurnished. I discovered Casa Latina online, and ordered a furniture package. They spoke great English, we’re very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We were able to get certain items customized online. A few weeks later, we arrived to our condo and they delivered the furniture. Its absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Casa Latina.

I love Casa Latina! They came over to my home and took measurements and then made these gorgeous book shelves, bathroom cabinets, & headboard AND delivered them. I could not be happier!!!!
