★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was amazing , very well located, walking distance to beach and restaurants, clean and big rooms , comfy beds , my kids took classes online that was a big plus, reliable internet, great pool. For the price there’s no better choice in Holbox.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beyond my expectations! Not only is the property beautiful with a relaxed and tasteful aesthetic but it is super clean AND conveniently located just minutes from the beach. Just as important was the internet connection-- strong and reliable the whole time. Matias, the host, was very gracious and attentive and addressed all our needs in a timely fashion. From the pool to the bbq to the bicycles, Shankara offered additional ways for us to enjoy our visit to the island even more. You can tell that the comfort of the rooms and general cool and peaceful vibe of this hotel was all carefully curated. Suffice it to say I'll be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would love to have stayed longer here but there was no rooms available, this is just the best place, the rooms are big enough and comfy, the location it's perfect, right in between os the beach and the ferry spot, which it's perfect especially on rainy days when moving it's almost imposible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can't say enough about Shankara, it's been great on the several occasions I've gone. Matias is a wonderful host - accommodating, responsive, courteous and thoughtful - that was my first impression before staying. Upon arriving to the property, it exceeded all expectations. The location is central and only a few blocks from the beach. The rooms are well done, simple, stylistic, and even better - there's great WIFI which is hard to find on the island. Would highly recommend!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shankara is my favourite place in Holbox to stay. The apartments are fully equipped with a kitchen, a large comfy bed with clean, simple furnishings. The pool area is beautiful, and the owner Mati is incredibly friendly and communicative giving you lots of tips for the Island. Shankara is close to the bars shops beach and restaurants but far away enough to feel like a secluded oasis.
